Eligibility to apply for the Specific Course :
1.D.El.Ed. (State Quota):
Any eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) from the state irrespective of their district and Outlying Odia Tract (OOT) candidates
2.D.El.Ed. (BIET Quota):
SC and ST eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) of the concerned district where the BI ETs are situated (Mayurbhanja, Nawarangpur, Rayagada and Sundargarh)
3.D.El.Ed. (Olchiki – Santali):
Any eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) who can read and write Santali (Olchiki)
4.D.El.Ed. (Telugu Quota):
Any eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) of the state who have Telugu as MIL or a subject at HSC level
5.D.El.Ed. (Urdu Quota):
Any eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) of the state who have Urdu as MIL or a subject at
6.D.El.Ed. (Christian Community):
Any eligible women Christian candidates (as per eligibility criteria) of the state
7. D.El.Ed. (Kandhamal Quota)
Any eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) of Kandhamal district only
Eligibility for D.El.Ed. Course (All) :
The candidate must fulfill all the eligibility conditions given below :
1.The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / +2 Examination in Arts /
Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination from recognized Boards /
Councils (the candidates shall have to submit equivalent certificate from the
competent authority) with a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate
(45% of mark in aggregate in case of SC, ST, SEBC and PH candidates) excluding marks secured in extra optional.
2.She / he must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such
equivalent or higher examination (+2) or have passed Odia in single subject
Examination conducted by BSE, Odisha of HSC standard or should have
passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha in Odia medium with MIL other than
Odia. Such candidates who have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha
without Odia as MIL should produce a certificate to the effect from the
Headmaster of the concerned school that he / she has passed HSC
Examination in Odia medium.
(A).The candidates seeking admission in Government ETEI, Urdu, Cuttack
and ETEI, Pahimahura must have passed Urdu as MIL up to HSC
standard / equivalent examination as notified by Board of Secondary
Education, Odisha, Cuttack.
(B).The candidates seeking admission in Government ETEI, Telugu must
have passed Telugu as MIL up to HSC standard / equivalent
examination as notified by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha,

-They should have passed Odia as a subject of study in HSC examination
or any such equivalent or higher examination or have passed Odia as a
subject in single subject examination conducted by BSE, Odisha of HSC

Modalities of Online Entrance Test :
-Online Entrance Test for selection of candidates.
-The whole test is of 90 minutes duration carrying 90
-Marks with two sections.
Section – I
carries 30 marks.
There shall be 30 questions,
each carrying one mark.
Section – II
carries 60 marks.
There shall be 60 questions
each carrying one mark.
-All the questions shall be of MCQ
-The test will be bi-lingual for all the subjects except the language
-Questions in the language section shall be available to candidates
in Odia, Urdu, Telugu and Olchiki languages.
N.B Negative Marking :
There should be provision of negative marking @ 0.25 negative mark for each wrong response.

All candidates are required to submit one set of Xerox copy of the following

3.All Certificates and Marksheets, in original
4.Certificate of Headmaster of the school to the effect that he / she has
passed HSC in Odia medium (in the cases who have passed from Board of
Secondary Education, Odisha without Odia as MIL).
5.Residential Certificate issued by Tahasildar / Additional Tahasildar before 6 month
6.Latest Caste Certificate in case of SC, ST and SEBC candidates, by virtue of
birth. OBC certificate shall not be considered
7.Physically Handicapped Certificate in case of PH candidates
8.Ex-serviceman Certificate in case of son / unmarried daughter / spouse
issued only by the Rajya Sainik Board, Nageswar Tangi, Odisha,
